Market Street Revitalisation, Balranald
The Market Street Revitalisation Project sought to improve the pedestrian experience of Balranald’s CBD along Market Street from We Street to River Street.
Key elements of the design included new paving to improve all abilities access, a new suite of bespoke urban furniture to unify the streetscape and planting of new street trees and ornamental to green, soften and cool the urban environment. The design also included improved public spaces adjacent to the Theatre Royal (including off-street parking) and in front of the Senior Citizen Centre with its key new resident 'Swampy' the southern bell frog play sculpture by artist, Steady Chameleon.
