Stadium Courtyard, Galen Catholic College

The stadium courtyard provides an important link between the centre of the school and the oval, as well as a quiet place for gathering, eating and learning. Central to the design is a large tiered deck with a central shade tree, which is countered by an open lawn area to the south. Other bespoke seating elements allow for flexible use by groups and individuals.

A rich plant palette of evergreen and deciduous trees, and shrubs and groundcovers provides shade, enclosure and seasonal interest.
